The NASA worm logo was created in 1975 by the design firm Danne \u0026amp; Blackburn, as part of a government initiative to give federal agencies a visual remake. The design is striking and timeless, and works extremely well in a variety of contexts: the side of a space shuttle, the front cover of a flight manual, or yes, an embroidered patch on a space suit. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt was a divisive logo at the time, with many folks preferring the old “meatball” logo, which featured heavily during the Apollo missions.
